Trace again

I traced again to get more details.
One week left, and it's time to make all animation.

Off-Concept

Off-concept visual I made in the last class (5/24).
It was projected poorly on the object, except f/G/O parts.

New tracing & shadow projection

I changed a position and angle of a projector, so I traced the object again. I tried to project two kinds of shadows under the object, white and color.

I admitted that I didn't do much for this class because I spent most of last weekend with a studio project. Alicia recommended that I should cover the floor with matte materials or high reflexive one.

Storyboard

Concept: 8-bit

The animation is divided into 2 parts.

① One is building & assembling LEGO; In the dark space, one lego part is blinking. And other LEGO classical parts are showing up like assembling. Then, LEGO technic parts are coming.

② Another part is sound-driven animation; I got coloration from 8-bit Mario game. The concept of story is 'Adventure of Mario'; walking → collecting coins → attacking turtles → walking gain.

(+) Perspective problem is not my concern. I will make patterns by assigning color to each block.

Tracing Practice

Unfortunately, the LEGO object is too complex to trace exactly. Moreover, the object is dark, reflexible, and small. But I will not cover the object with white spray, because it will weaken the characteristics of the object, complexity and coloration.

Tracing in the dark dark room is the way. I'll take my time and trace it this weekend.

(+) The picture above is taken in Apr. 12th.
I didn't take the picture in tracing practice day because I was too exhausted.
